Sledge

The sledge was custom made by the technical department and can be used to supply VR devices in the room with power or data cables. The sledge is connected to a cable with a winch which can be pulled with an electric step motor. The motor operates with 8-16V and can be turned in both directions. If the motor seems to be stuck youcan try to tighten the screw connecting motor and winch.

The voltage and direction of the motor is controlled by the grey box next to it. It includes power supply, a potentiometer, a motor control device and a connection to the two photoelectric sensors to prevent the sledge from pushing above the limits of it's rail. To control the sledge you can connect to the box to an IO-Warrior 40 via USB.

Directions can be set with 127 and 128, a stop signal is set via 255.
